SAP PPDS Overview

Product Planning and Detailed Scheduling( PP- DS) was created as the product planning element of SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization( SAP APO), a force chain planning tool in SAP Business Suite.

Its purpose is to get procurement proffers that meet product conditions and to optimize the scheduling for coffers. In SAP APO, PP- DS acts as a bit of the force chain planning mystification along with three other factors: Demand Planning( DP), Supply Network Planning( SNP), and Global Available to pledge( GATP).

As SAP revamped its product positioning following the discharge of SAP S/ 4HANA, the PPDS functionality was made available within SAP S/ 4HANA.

In general, the objects of product planning and scheduling are constantly reduced to 4     introductory targets

  •  high capacity operation

  •  low force/ stock position

  •  on- time delivery

  •  short manufacturing cycle times order lead- time

It is impossible to meet all of your goals at the same time. Short lead time and on-time delivery take precedence during a client-driven request, and high capacity operation takes a back seat.

Prioritizing colorful business objects is determined by a company's goals.

SAP S/4HANA includes PP/ DS planning and scheduling capabilities.

  • Capacity planning, scheduling, and optimization with constraints

  • Heuristic framework

  • characteristics of assiduity ( RPM, MMP & CBP).

  • Transactional simulation and simulation performance

  • Colorful manufacturing models are supported.

  • Prepare to Stock

  • Custom Made

  • Order mastermind

A single MRP

  • For classical MRP planning and advanced PPDS heuristics, one MRP planning run is used.

  • One law of low position computation

Ease of Use and Seamless Integration

  • One unified operation, a harmonious examination sense, and intuitive navigation PPDS is an essential component of S4/HANA ( not an add- on, not a side- by- side installation).

  • Master data simplification and integration model preservation

make use of HANA ( HANA only)

  • Rapid MRP ( One MRP for bottomless planning)

  • HANA includes liveCache, so there is only one database to manage.

The posterior conditions are well covered by PPDS.

  • To create procurement proposals for in-house or external product procurement to cover product conditions

  • To optimize and plan the resource schedule, as well as the order dates and times, in great detail.

You can also consider the resource and element vacuity. Above all, PP DS is used to plan critical products, such as those with long loss lead times or those produced on tailback.

Coffers. PP DS will be used to generate executable product plans and

  • Reduce outstanding times

  • Improve your on-time delivery performance.

  • Increase product proliferation while lowering stock costs through improved coffer, product, and procurement collaboration.

BENEFITS

  • Optimization of distribution planning

  • Product capacity planning using all BOM scenarios

  • Weight and capacity simulation

  • Weight distribution in a multi-sourcing terrain

  • Pegging in Full Order
