How to configure integration between S4 HANA and Fieldglass?
With Direct Connection Setup
With Mediation Connection Setup
Direct Connection
Basics Using SAP Fieldglass Technical Web Services SAP S4 HANA configures its SOA handler to connect directly to SAP Fieldglass and run data key objects scheduled or configured in SAP S4 HANA. A CSV file containing key data sent through a SOAP message and mapped by a specific integration connector in SAP Fieldglass, based on the filename provided in the header of the SOAP message. Business Partner using SAP Fieldglass on web service engineering (SAPBusinessPartnerPush and SAPBusinessPartnerRelationshipPush), SAP S4 HANA configures its SOA handler to connect directly to SAP Fieldglass.
SOA Manager then executes the trading partner key data objects and their federation contacts, scheduled or configured. Whether or not SES integration and functionality is enabled, anything billed in the SAP Fieldglass application can be integrated into the SAP S4 HANA System. For customers, an invoice query call is scheduled on the SAP Fieldglass web service, which implements the SAP Fieldglass "Download CXML Invoice". The connector retrieves all approved invoices present to the customer and allows SAP S4 HANA to process these objects on this system. For 22,000 lean procurement tenants, invoice object approval in SAP Fieldglass automatically generates a referral drive sent from SAP Fieldglass to SAP S4 HANA via a web service task for approval final and payment processing in SAP S4 HANA.
Optional ERS: For Lean Service Offerings Provided to 22,000 tenants using ERS External Payments, ZorkfloZ AutoPay is not applicable as for standard SES assertions. As explained in step 12, separate ERS invoice volumes are sent to SAP Fieldglass through the CPI middleware integration flow. The ERS payload is uploaded to SAP Fieldglass through the “Upload ERS Invoice” connector in the SAP Fieldglass app. "Download ERS Invoice" approves the SES/Fieldglass line item and generates a SAP Fieldglass invoice with the ERS invoice tonnage details as shown in the second diagram above.
HANA. XML files containing core data elements are sent via SOAP messages and mapped relative to the main SAP Fieldglass vendor table in the database, ultimately reflecting the LnJ in the delivery provider object main user interface.
Mediation Connection
Mediation Connection is the preferred connection method for all new SAP S4 HANA Cloud and SAP S4 HANA tenants. The mediation connection uses the SAP Connect service or the SAP NetWeaver PI (process integration) middleware (or third-party PI middleware) between SAP S/
HANA and SAP Fieldglass. SAP and PI Connect Services enable customers to transfer data between platforms with additional security and controls in place. They can also provide channels where data and content are further managed before being sent to SAP Fieldglass for processing. In SAP Connect service, this is done through the development of specific integration flows that can be coded to handle specific data requirements, mapping and transformation for data objects subject to then meet the customer's business needs and/or SAP Fieldglass Applications. . The built-in floZs can be used to convert XML files to CSV format, add external fields or data values, and more.
